ASLA has actively served the community since 2015 through a myriad of events, fundraisers, and services.
October 2015 – ASLA hosted a college preparation seminar to over 500 people for free, enhancing the leadership of our communal youth and leading them towards a better future.
December 2015 – Organized members to help teach English to Chinese elders in senior living homes.
October 2016 – Organized musical ensembles to perform regularly in senior living communities.
2017-present – Created the “Find Your Voice” public speaking program and implemented of several other tutoring programs (including debate, comp sci, math, etc.) over the years to help elementary and middle school students in need. 10 semesters have been taught thus far, with over 500 students having participated.
Spring 2019 – Raised over $1000 in donations for the Guatemalan non-profit “Fomento para el Desarrollo Integral” to provide educational opportunities to the impoverished. (Organized by Jesse and Raymond)
May 2019 – Provided a college preparation and adjustment seminar to over 150 members for free.
September 2021 – Donated school supplies and COVID-19 aid to the Yi Hwang Academy of Language Excellence.
Nov 2024 -Donate 3D printer and filaments(total $1000+) to True Love for Special Need Families.
Apr 2025- Donate $500 to True Love for Special Need Families.
